National Audiometry Services was formed by Liz Garritt, who has worked for an established acoustic consultancy firm, S & D Garritt Ltd, for several years.
Increasing demands from the government to safeguard employees against health and safety risks, and also the potential for costly compensation claims is a concern of many employers. It was realised that offering hearing test services to these employers could cut the risk of noise induced hearing loss in the workplace, and thereby cut the risk of compensation claims.
In February 2008 Liz completed a course in Industrial Audiometry, accredited by the British Society of Audiology (BSA). Liz has also completed a post graduate diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control and has gained associate membership of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA). National Audiometry Services was formed in 2010, specialising in audiometry and working alongside S & D Garritt Ltd to provide comprehensive solutions to workplace noise problems.
National Audiometry Services is a new and expanding business. The company has received help and recognition from government led organisations including Success Doncaster and North Doncaster Development Trust, and is moving from strength to strength with the support of the Doncaster Chamber of Commerce
